Integration between business and
socio-environmental impact

Uma mão segura uma bola de video, ela reflete a paisagem de árvores e céu a sua volta, formando uma espécie de mini planeta.

An organization's environmental, social, and governance practices, such as:

Environmental

  • Climate change mitigation
  • Renewable energy
  • Natural resource use
  • Biodiversity
  • Environmental management system

Social

  • Human and labor rights
  • Inclusion and diversity policies
  • Impact on the community
  • Professional development
  • Employee satisfaction

Governance

  • Fiscal transparency
  • Anti-corruption actions
  • Efficient and inclusive management
  • Stakeholder management
  • Compliance and data protection

Good ESG and sustainability practices are already demanded by banks, investors, and potential clients. It is therefore vital for every business to be aligned with these new expectations, where profit, purpose and transparency go hand in hand.

We.Flow’s team of ESG consulting specialists is prepared to navigate through all the complexity of ESG for organizations in various industries. This way we work integrating expectations of leaders, team and stakeholders, our clients become able to receive several certifications of the market, as for example the seal of B Corp.

Pillars of Operation

Alignment and integration between business and socio-environmental impact

Encouraging the formation of an ESG culture and leadership

Transparency in terms of compliance and impact assessment

Regenerative Approach

Our ESG work is based on a regenerative approach, from the inside out, through personal transformation. In this way we develop conscious leaders and organizations that regenerate their health and that of the social and environmental systems.

How do we do it?

Alignment

The initial alignment of the ESG consultancy aims to sensitize all the collaborators of the organization about the ESG concepts, its importance and present the work that will be done by We.Flow. Besides that, in this stage is constituted the ESG Committee, group responsible to work together with We.Flow in the diagnoses accomplishment and in the implementation of the ESG actions.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis phase is essential for understanding the organization’s current level of maturity in the environmental, social and governance areas, as well as the organizational culture. It is during this phase that the ESG Performance Evaluation Platform is filled out, carried out jointly with the ESG Committee.

Our scope also includes interviews with leaders, ESG trend and benchmark surveys, and stakeholder management for materiality.

Strategy

Based on the diagnosis made, the actions to be taken are prioritized and an action plan is structured, linked to the desired positioning and the main material issues for its stakeholders.

Thus begins the construction and integration of the ESG into the organization’s strategy. The main strategic objectives, their performance indicators, the aspirational impact, and the respective related Sustainable Development Goals are defined.

Implementation

Once the strategy is defined, the implementation of the action plan begins.

Here different actions can occur, such as, for example, the creation of corporate volunteering, code of ethics and conduct, supplier management, non-discrimination policy, environmental commitment policy, waste management, code of ethics, and diversity and inclusion program.

Indicators and targets are also defined and monitored.

Evaluation

Once the company’s impact model has been identified, the evaluation stage begins with the construction of a Theory of Change. This aims to define the desired impact of an organization or project and to define the steps needed to achieve it, always looking for a long-term impact.

Starting from its narrative and the collection of data on the impact generated by the organization, the impact evaluation begins. Through this evaluation, the company can monitor and enhance its ESG performance.

Leadership

At We.Flow we talk a lot about how impact comes from the inside out,  it is individuals who propagate change to the organization. Therefore, to ensure an effective ESG in the long term, it is essential that leaders are prepared to deal with its complexity.

During this phase, we promote ESG Regenerative Leadership trainings, facilitations and experiences specific to the organization’s ESG strategy.

Communication

The communication phase aims to promote transparent dialogue with the company’s stakeholders and make public the actions carried out, to inspire change.

With a growing demand for brands that promote positive socio-environmental impact, the participation in events and the construction of ESG content strengthen the organization’s positioning and promote competitive advantages.

Ecosystem

With a developed ESG structure and a growing positive social and environmental impact, it is time to look outwards. The ecosystem stage was designed to promote networking and collaboration among organizations.

Here the company starts to become a reference throughout its value chain and to its main stakeholders, in order to cause a positive systemic impact.

ESG Benefits

Beyond Profit

Make your business a tool to generate positive impact throughout your value chain, promoting climate and social justice.

Brand Strengthening

In fact, a 2020 survey by Cone Communications found that 87% of consumers believe companies should prioritize ESG issues, and 75% of consumers are more likely to purchase products from companies that prioritize ESG issues.

Capital Attraction

Studies have shown that ESG integration can have a significant impact on brand value and reputation. For example, a 2019 report by MSCI Inc. found that companies with high esg ratings outperformed those with low ratings by 4.1% per year.
