Fab Lab Barcelona is part of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia. The institution supports contemporary education and research programs related to the multiple scales of the human habitat.
How we helped
We.Flow and its team was responsible for the Social, Environmental and Economic Impact Assessment Course within the Master in Design for Distributed Innovation at IAAC and FabLab Barcelona. The class consisted of 15 students from countries such as USA, Peru, China, Canada, India, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. The aim of the course was to provide participants with a basic understanding of social and environmental impact as well as the main methods of impact assessment.
Main results:
- Practical application of a methodology to evaluate and measure the impact of their own initiatives (in companies, government, civil society organizations, social businesses, projects, etc.)
- Assistance in assessing whether the class is achieving the objectives proposed in their specific projects.
- Development of a critical reflective process on impacts in the socio-environmental sphere.
